I made a mistake and sold my land too low to one of their bots. Skye was very responsive, and returned the land right away. She was very nice about it.
Elanthius and Skye are pretty cool in my book, though they can be pretty rough around the edges at times.
I made a mistake once, and immediately Elanthius offer me the land back.
Placed a 1024m lot for sale at 512m price. Landbot bought it instantly as soon as the sell button was hit and before I could cancel the sale. Elanthius sold it back to me for the same price.
Thanks for having this blog Stuck Babenco!
I was hit by Professor Silverspar in Christmas Eve. I had just purchased an adjacent diagnal parcel next to our larger area. I thought I had adjusted the boundry before I put a small piece for sale to raise funds for my real life charity. Before I could blink my eyes BOT had bought all the land for price of the small parcel I was going to sell. Horrible experience and to see everything you had taken so long to build dissappear. I HATE THESE BOTS!
I sent IMs and notecards to all the Ninjas and so did my friends. Elanthius did give the land back at price BOT sent me. However, Skye, Teresa and Marisa Devin were horribly rude and swore in IMs to me. I keep all the IMs and send them to Linden Labs.
Due to this horrible experience I am now on a mission to have the use of land bots banned from Second Life. Started a group Anti Land Bot Coalition in SL.
Although objects are suppose to be returned, many are lost, over 1000 in my case. Items that are non-transferable. Whether its Ninjas keeping them or SL unable to handle large amounts of items returned at one time, it’s still a terrible experience.
People who use Land Bots are outright greedy pigs! They need to be stoped. Way too many greedy people in real life and they are not welcome in Second Life.
Songbird set her land for sale to “anyone” and our bot bought it. It was the holidays and we were off with family so it took some time to get it back to her. We did take the time to log in and return the 10752sqm of land to her, worth roughly $300USD in profit.
This wasn’t a L$1 transfer so the land had been set for sale by our bots and autoreturn activated. All of the objects which had been deeded to the group were deleted forever because they had no original owner to return to. Songbird is incapable of comprehending this.
Songbird and her throngs of friends sent many notecards asking for the land back. I accepted these notecards.
After returning the land, Songbird repeatedly asked for her objects back. I repeatedly informed her that my group has none of her objects. I did eventually lose it and called her a “dumbass” because her evidence that I had her objects was that I had accepted her inventory offer (the notecards!). I also called her a bitch when she wouldn’t quit IM’ing me as I had asked her to repeatedly. (She is now muted). I do think that showed pretty poor manners on my part, and I am ashamed of it because I don’t think anyone, even insufferable crazy-go-mad bag ladies should be sworn at.
As most people with land experience know, there’s nothing on your transaction history when you buy land with objects and gain ownership of those objects.
I had to mute her because she is not a reasonable person to speak to. She is incapable of understanding what happened, she takes no responsibility for creating the situation, and she is simply unpleasant to speak to.
I am quite certain she does hate bots, much the same as I hate people who blame others for mistakes they have made, and are ungrateful for the help others give to them.
Skye, Elan and their associates are fine people. I’ve done lots of business with them and have never had a problem. They have always responded promptly and professionally whenever I had an issue with land. A pleasure. ; )
On the one time that I set a parcel to the wrong price it was snapped up by these guys landbot. They returned it to me. Thanks guys =)
